Getting through the weekday slog and making it unscathed to the weekend, calls for a high-five! ✋ Also, what better day to pull out this new interactive #picturebook by @rubingo and @dansalmieri, which takes an ubiquitous, humble celebratory gesture to new creative heights? . The combination of a fresh and fun premise (a high-five tournament!), zesty rhyming verses and kooky neon-inflected illustrations proved irresistible to my kids, and I had a good chuckle over the antics that the book inspired when I read it aloud to them. Currently glued to this dystopian classic from 1953, and completely blown away by Ray Bradbury’s remarkably prescient ideas turned ubiquitous reality, like earbuds/EarPods. Also, I’ll never think of firemen the same way again. .
