I’m Not Cute! is a funny book about a grumpy baby owl who is tired of being called cute by the other animals who find him oh-so-adorable.
“I’m Not cute!” he retorts each time. What he thinks he wants — like many kids — is to be seen with grown-up characteristics: a scary “hunting machine” in this case.
But when he tells his mother about it, and she unexpectedly agrees with him, he realises that he’s not quite ready to give up being his mama’s cute baby after all. Perfect for toddlers who can no longer be considered babies but who are not quite ready to be seen as “big” boys/girls.
