Where’s the Fish? (小金鱼逃走了) by Taro Gomi (五味太郞)

We borrowed the Chinese translation of this Taro Gomi book, but it’s probably great in either language since the text is simple and minimal, with the focus on the great hide-and-seek concept and bright illustrations.

Basically, the little “goldfish” (it’s more dark pink, really) escapes from the fish tank and hides itself in different places throughout the book, so the reader is invited to look for him. Kids will get a kick out of pointing out the fish, which is hidden just enough to require a bit of work, but is still easy enough for the little ones to find it.
