Oh Dear, Geoffrey! by Gemma O’Neill

Oh Dear, Geoffrey! is the story of a young giraffe who tries without success to make friends with various animals, thanks to his height and physical awkwardness. Of course, as it turns out, he has been looking in all the wrong places.

While the story is a familiar one — and somewhat stereotypical (long limbs = clumsy) — younger tots will be happy to chime in with the catchy title/refrain each time Geoffrey gets himself into a tangle. It also helps that the mixed-media illustrations are quite impressive.
