Despite its title, this fresh and inventive book is not so much about the colours themselves, but how they interact with each other to create something new — and in the process, gets us to look at some familiar patterns in a new light.
The spare text complements the bold, graphical illustrations, while the overall spirit of the book is a playful cross between Patricia Intriago’s Dot and Laura Vaccaro Seeger’s die-cut books.
The quirky originality is a breath of fresh air and I love the last pull-tab, which draws the book to a satisfying close.
