From the cover, one would surmise that this book is written with bibliophiles in mind — and it is. With a bold title like that, though, it’s natural to have equally high expectations for it — and fortunately, this really is a pretty rad book.
It’s no secret that I’m passionate about books, reading, and most of all, reading to kids, so this book really spoke to me. Reading a new book often feels like you’re embarking on a solo adventure to the great unknown, and the experience can take you to the most unexpected and amazing places — and this book manages to capture all of that with joyfully spirited meta graphics that imaginatively depict what every reader has experienced at one time or another: being completely and utterly swept away to another world.
And truly, any book that succeeds in doing so is deserving of being called the best book in the world.
