You know what they say: the best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry. While the “we” in Shh! We Have a Plan are neither mice nor men, hilariously awry their opportunistic attempts to catch a pretty bird do go, thanks to an unfortunate clash in conflicting agendas between the three hunters and their little tag-along companion.
Less is more when it comes to the colour palette used by the author for the striking digital graphics, which are dominated by deep-blue and purple tones for an atmospheric feel — the only exception(s) being the brightly hued (and, it must be said, less-than-impressed) prey.
While the bumbling (though quite adorably so) hunters provide some slapstick humour, you also have to give them props for their child-like optimism, tenacity and remarkable ability to bounce back from failure.
