If you think about it, the Big Bad Wolf is pretty badass in the realm of kidlit, with the ability to strike fear with his mere presence (see: Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs and various Aesop’s fables). So, who can blame him for strutting around with an overinflated ego, right?
Well, as this cautionary tale shows, no matter how highly you regard yourself, it’s always prudent to stay humble.
With cameos from familiar storybook characters like Red Riding Hood and the Three Little Pigs, this entertaining book contains some seriously funny lines, and you can hardly tell that it was originally published in French. Bravo, Gecko Press!
